Norfolk Broads

A LITTLE ABOUT THE AREA....

The Norfolk Broads is an area of natural beauty, peace and tranquillity, where as skipper of your own pleasure craft you can experience a carefree easy-going time, or an exciting adventure cruising these protected water- ways teeming with wildlife. Spend your days relaxing on the water, fishing or exploring the rivers; or for a more active holiday take some time to explore your surroundings while moored up. With so much to see and do, Norfolk is truly a hidden holiday paradise.

The true secret to the Norfolk Broads is that they can be anything you want them to be.  Boating on the Broads is generally a relaxing, peaceful holiday filled with old-fashioned quietude - but once you venture into the surrounding villages, towns, and cities, you'll find entertainment of any flavour you desire, from historic buildings and museums to modern nightclubs, and everything in between.

When you've had your fill of nature-watching, fishing, reading, and the other simple pleasures of the river, why not cruise on your chosen boat to the nearest pub for lunch, hire a bicycle or two (or bring your own!) and take a picnic lunch into the countryside, visit the beautiful parks and gardens and stately homes, or cruise on into Great Yarmouth or Norwich to explore the sights?

Have a traditional fish and chips on the beach at Yarmouth, visit the Norwich Castle or the shopping malls or permanent outdoor market, spoil yourself with first class cuisine by Micheline-starred chefs ... Norfolk truly does have it all!

Plenty for the children to see and do, too : for example, moor up at Horning and visit Bewilderwood!

DRL Marine can supply you with pamphlets and maps to facilitate your holiday with us, and we can give one-on-one advice on what to see and how to get there. - See you here!
